Design of a prototype based on the concept of "Tension" using wood construction techniques, for the Hello Wood 2019 Festival, annual competition in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Sleep, read, observe. A place where you can find shelter and be in contact with nature at the same time. The idea consist in a rotated cube, supported by one of its vertices and delimited by four plans.

The cabin is divided in two hemispheres: on one hand a container space with blind closing of OSB plates taken from wood slats, closed with a translucent fabric that generates a shelter to the wind, sun, and rain. And, on the other hand, the other hemisphere is translucent, formed only by the structure of wood slats.

This prefab model can be transported and assembled anywhere. The arrangement of the elements was made to create meeting and resting spaces, as well as interaction, reading or contemplation spaces. The structure was set to be underground compensating structural efforts from both sides of the rotated cube.
